Going Down Swinging
Well, this is the last week of my mission and me and my comp have been working like crazy. This weekend in our Zone we are going to baptize 17 people in a Noche Blanca. The temple is in our zone, so makes it easy. It's been crazy getting everything ready for this month, but the Lord definitely blessed us with success. This month our zone is going to end with at least 28 baptisms, one of the highest numbers a zone has reached in my mission.
I had my last interview with my mission president and he helped me get my priorities straight for when I get home. I learned that its important to study and important to work, but if I don't get sealed to my wife, I won't be able to live in the Celestial Kingdom. He told me I got to find my wife and start my family as soon as possible... That's the priority.
Truth is that I really have mixed feelings about going home. I'm ready to start studying, working and stuff like that, but I am really going to miss Honduras. This place is so awesome. I'm going to miss it soooo much.
Through the people I got to know and teach, I've learned and progressed so much. I'm going to miss my converts.
This Saturday me and my comp are going to baptize two people. Both baptisms are references from the ward. Its been awesome working with members. Just makes the process soooo much smoother.
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true Church on the earth. I know that Christ is at its head and directs it all through revelation. I know that through the Spirit we can feel and receive answers to our prayers. I know that the Lord never abandons his children. The book of Mormon is scripture and the key to it all.
With Love,
Elder Brown

HEY!
Hola Todos!
We had a great week last week. We made a lot of plans to try and help the missionaries get more investigators.
In my zone there are the richest neighborhoods in all of Honduras. Like houses 3 times bigger than Steph's. Te elders and sisters asigned there have had some trouble finding new people to teach. So we had this idea to go and was cars for free next to the temple and it worked out great.
While we washed the cars, they walked the temple gardens and entered the chapel. It was awesome. We found a lot of people who thought that they had to pay money to go in and stuff like that. We explained them that visitors are welcome and we invited them to learn more.
We found a lot of really positive people for the elders and sister to teach over there in Roble Oeste. It was a really effective service activity.
I have started to read the book of mormon from the beginning again. It has been a pretty awesome experience. It has taken me three weeks to make it through 1 Nephi 1 because I'm trying to study and analize all of it. I have learned so much. That book is so powerful.
This past week me and my comp had to talk to an Elder who fell in love with this girl. He wrote her love letters and everything.......I'm not going to lie, I like straigthing Elders out. I kinda like scaring them a little bit and then letting them feel loved and comforted. We talked to him directly and got him focused again. We made him read his love letters that he wrote out loud and then we invited him to read a talk called the fourth missionary and that chapter in Genesis about Potafor's wife. He is a changed man, working a lot harder than he was. We talked alot about the Atonement and the purpose we have as missionaries. The Spirit was strong.

If You Don't Live to Serve, You Don't Deserve To Live!
Hey Everybody!
This past week flew by soooo fast, it was ridiculous. We had a Leadership Council with the District Leaders, Zone Conference with the Mission President, and a Zone meeting. It was AWESOME!
I am learning so much. You would think that now that I'm coming in on my last weeks in my mission that I would have things figured out, but I am still repenting and trying to be better.
I focused my lesson in the Zone meeting about a phrase that the Branch President always used to say in La Esperanza. *If you don't live to serve, you don't deserve to live*. We applied the phrase to missionary work. We had a good conversation.
I talked about consecration, about forgetting yourself and getting to work. I got a lot of new missionaries in my zone and I wanted to get them focused. The mission is two years and that's it. Two years go by quick, and these two years aren't ours. We aren't here to be tourists, we are here to change lives and invite others to come unto Christ. We talked about leaving all personal wants and desires on the altar of sacrifice and doing His will not ours.
One mistake that I think I have made a lot in my life is doing what I want to do and not asking God what I should do... And because of my negligence I have had to repent A LOT.
I have learned that living life with faith and prayer. Looking to do His will, is lots easier than living life alone. We can talk to Him through prayer and receive the answers in the scriptures and during church on Sunday.
Time is going by so fast, I'm trying not to lose one minute of it.
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the face of the earth. I know that if someone isn't baptized by priesthood authority, they won't be able to live with God again. I know that families can be together forever. I know that through small acts of obedience, we receive MANY blessings. I know that God sees everything we do, and that He listens to every prayer. I know that its never too late to start repenting.

Transfers!
Hey Everyone!
I was transfered last Tuesday. I am still a Zone Leader but now I'm in Zona Loarque, in Tegucigalpa. I'm super excited to be in my new zone.
My area is called Jardines de Toncontin. Pretty awesome! My new companion is named Elder Rosales. He is from Guatemala. He is soooooo funny. He's kinda short and speaks English.

The other day a missionary gave him a bottle of those gummy vitamins. Your supposed to eat no more than 2 a day..... He ate the bottle of 100 gummies in 1 week. He was telling me the other day how wierd his bones were feeling and then he tells me that he finished ALL the gummy vitamins..... HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Things are going well. I'm just working harder and trying to make more happen than I have before. A zone in my mission has never baptized more than 40 people in a month, and my goal before I end my mission is to make that happen.
We had a baptism on Sunday of a man named Cesar. He was prepared and taught and everything when I got to the area.
Thanks for everything.
